One of the things I most loved loved about the last Autumn was the great generosity of jar swapping that went on! Crab apple jelly, damson jam, later on spiced pears. So when I saw that Angel in the Garden was crocheting lids for jars, well, aren't they nice?? I think they're also in the set text?Monday 27 August 2012
Getting ready for Autumn?
One of the things I most loved loved about the last Autumn was the great generosity of jar swapping that went on! Crab apple jelly, damson jam, later on spiced pears. So when I saw that Angel in the Garden was crocheting lids for jars, well, aren't they nice?? I think they're also in the set text?

I am still not convinced about crochet jam jar covers - I am sure mine would get sticky and spoiled! But I guess they would make a present look pretty.
ReplyDeleteOnce you have done all the orange hats, will you use the leftover wool to crochet co-ordinated lids for jars of marmalade?
